Having been through a period where I got to the heaviest weight of my life, just a year ago, I can empathise with this story when I first started to get fit again. Now a year on I'm fitter, healthier and 16kg lighter. You can achieve anything with purpose, direction and support.
Just a few months ago, I was at my biggest, weighing over 19 stone. Since I’m only five foot five inches, this meant I was quite overweight. I didn't like what I saw in the mirror. When I decided to start going to the gym, though, it wasn’t just about losing weight. I want more stamina and energy. I want to be stronger and faster. I want to be an inspiration to other people who are terrified of the gym, like I was.
